OPENING CEREMONIES: registration and accreditation will take place Wednesday Nov 29th at Langley Events Centre 600-700pm, coaches meeting 700-715pm, followed by Opening Ceremonies for all players and coaches. We will be having a canned food drive with prizes for the most ..more details to come. Opening Ceremonies are NOT optional, we expect all teams to be there. Dress code: "no hats, no shorts, no tshirts - business casual" More info to come!!!
3. Merchandise: I encourage (beg and plead) that all teams purchase a full set of tournament shirts..you have some options. I need this revenue to offset the huge costs associated with this tourney. The financial stress I am under is ridiculous for this tourney. Please, Please, Please. I am purchasing 14 shirts for the WildCard winner and hope they are able to pay for this or I will take the loss.

B.C. Girls’ Volleyball Commission Rules Update

With the exception of the following, B.C. Girls’ Volleyball Commission has adopted Volleyball Canada rules.
Changing in uniforms
Teams wishing to change into their uniforms after the warm-up may leave the floor and are entitled to a reasonable length of time before returning
Dangling jewelry (of any size or shape) is be removed; pins and studs are under advisement only. Watches, rings, and other hand and arm jewelry are to be removed.
Uniform tops are to be numbered front and back, and shall be of the same color and design. Shorts are to be the same colour, but may have some minor differences.
Teams may dress and play more than 12 players for all matches.
Substitutions for all matches are 12 unlimited subs plus a libero. Libero can be a different player for each set. There is only one libero per set. Libero’s cannot serve.
Players are permitted to over-hand receive (volley) on serve receive
Playing ball off roof & other over hanging obstructions
Teams may play the ball off the ceiling (including other overhead obstructions) provided that the contact with the ceiling takes place above the floor within the playing area and the ball does not cross into the opponents playing space immediately after contacting the ceiling or obstruction.
This means the ball is "out" if:

In the spirit of fair play, teams and/or spectators are not permitted to call out “balls up” at any time during an opponent’s act of serving the ball. Sanctioning as per VC guidelines (warning to precede card sanctions)
